Application Note: Transmission Test System for Optical Windows

The CI Systems Transmission Test System accurately measures the transmission values of optical windows relative to the angle of incident and to the requested wavelength band.

Main Highlights:

• Tested Window Size: Up to 12” diameter
• Tested Points: Any number of test points can be defined over the window surface. Any combination of tilt, roll and position values can be specified for each test point
• Transmission Wavelength Band:  1.3 to 14 μm (0.4 to 2.4 μm wavelength band - optional) 
• Spectral resolution: Better than 2% of wavelength 
• Tested Beam Diameter: Collimated beam diameters of 1”, 1/2”, 1/4” and 1/8” 
• Purge infrastructure is included to allow for testing in an environment with reduced atmospheric absorption
• The system includes an Optical Chopper and Lock-in-Amplifier to prevent measuring optical reflections
• User-Friendly Software: for operating the system and plotting results
