SR-800N: Extended Area Blackbody

Extended Area Blackbody ControlMaster

CI Systems’ ControlMaster SR-800N sets a new standard for accuracy and uniformity in blackbody technology.

Temperature measurement and calibration are performed in the radiation head and then transferred digitally to the ControlMaster controller. 

The result is accurate, stable, reliable, and NIST-traceable (*)


System Calibration

Temperature is controlled by easily-removable, user-replaceable sensors. 

Our factory-supplied replacement sensors provide an efficient means for recalibrating the system, providing an additional 12 months of service. 

Alternatively, customers may recalibrate the blackbody with our optional CK-800R.

  • Quick calibration by replacing the removable sensor.

Notes (for pages 2-3):

 

  • Ambient temperature: All values are valid at an ambient temperature of 22 °C in a non-condensing environment.
  • All Differential Blackbodies, can be operated in Absolute mode as well.
  • The Differential and Absolute Temperature ranges each limit the other
  • Available option for lower budget SR800N-4 A/D mainly for integration into a collimator, can also be used as standalone. Please contact CI.
  • Uniformity values indicated, are for a ±1 °C step from ambient temperature over 80% of the central area.   For other temperatures, multiply the indicated uniformity values by ΔT.
  • Accuracy is referenced to a NIST-calibrated CI Systems master sensor.
  • LT models: Low Temperature models include a refrigerator (power consumption depends on the model).
  • Available lower cost LT models for emitter size 12”& 20”
    • Emitter size 12”: Absolute Temperature range starting from -30°C (Please contact CI for more details)
    • Emitter size 20”: Absolute Temperature range starting from -20°C (Please contact CI for more details)
  • Drift: Typical yearly drift:  02 °C
  • Total System Uncertainty: 02 °C @ ΔT < ±25 °C  and  0.03 °C @ ΔT > ±25 °C.
  • All mechanical sizes are approximate. Please refer to an ICD for the exact dimensions. Depth size of a Differential BB Head is larger by 50mm compared to depth size of an Absolute BB Head.
  • For all Chamber Environment Systems:
    • Differential accuracy: 020°C (at -20 °C < T ambient < 80 °C) , 0.040°C (at T ambient < -20 °C).  
    • Stability: 005°C (at ΔT<10 °C), 0.010 °C (at ΔT>10 °C)
